TEDxHuntingtonBeach is excited to announce its 2024 event, “The BRAVE and The BRILLIANT,” set to take place on September 28th, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ethel Dwyer Middle School auditorium in Huntington Beach. This year’s event will present an unforgettable afternoon filled with powerful ideas, compelling stories, and groundbreaking insights from ten extraordinary speakers who are shaping the future.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – As society navigates an era of unique challenges and unprecedented opportunities, TEDxHuntingtonBeach 2024 is inviting attendees to join a movement that celebrates the courage to take bold steps and the brilliance to innovate. The theme, “The BRAVE and The BRILLIANT,” highlights the importance of embracing both bravery and brilliance as individuals and communities strive to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. 

“Now more than ever, the message of bravery and brilliance is essential. TEDxHuntingtonBeach aims to be a catalyst in sharing these values, ensuring that voices are seen, heard, and understood without prejudice,” said Dr. Izdihar Jamil, Ph.D., TEDxHuntingtonBeach Curator. 

Meet the Inspiring Speakers 

TEDxHuntingtonBeach 2024 will feature a diverse lineup of ten speakers, each bringing a unique perspective and insight to the stage: 

  • Cindy Warden – A classically trained pianist, singer, and former comedic actress who inspires others to overcome personal barriers and achieve success. 
  • Carol Barkes – A thought leader in conflict resolution, mediator, and best-selling author focused on helping others rethink and manage conflict effectively. 
  • Danielle Zanzarov, Ph.D. – A natural health advocate with a Ph.D. in Natural Medicine, passionate about fostering the brave art of connection. 
  • Diego Perez – A 17-year-old songwriter and performer from Los Angeles, encouraging others to embrace discomfort and uncertainty in their creative journeys. 
  • Hannah Kim – A lyric soprano with a broad repertoire, sharing insights on how performing in prisons taught her the power of music. 
  • Captain Jeremy Stoker – An experienced pilot with nearly 10,000 flight hours, offering insights on how to prioritize in critical situations. 
  • Mateusz Wolski – Concertmaster of the Spokane Symphony, presenting unique insights on the intersection of AI and music. 
  • Razia Naqvi-Jukes – A branding photographer and three-time bestselling author, sharing how to be camera confident and redefine traditional beauty. 
  • Ruben Perez – A tech entrepreneur pioneering AI as a co-founder in business ventures, sharing the lessons learned along the way. 
  • Sofia Aguilar – An award-winning Chicana writer and editor dedicated to empowering her community through storytelling and visibility in publishing.
